Three Island football programs off to Mangini Camp: Atlas Foundation chips in to foot the bill

After all the records and titles and successes, both large and small, Al Paturzo is packing it in as the driving force behind Susan Wagner High School's football program.

The winner of six PSAL city crowns has already said he won't be on the sidelines next season, and the school administration has yet to announce his replacement.

But there are some aspects of the coaching life that are easier to let go of than others.

And so it is that the 71-year-old Paturzo will be on the team bus early June 3 for the Falcon's annual ride to attend former New York Jets' head coach Eric Mangini's one-day instructional camp.
